Under the Sea Holiday Club

Every Easter we run a Holiday Club for primary school children. In April 2011 Holiday Club went Under the Sea and found out all about a man called Jonah and a very big fish. We made all sorts of crafts, we did cooking, we made puppets and performed puppet shows, we played games, we worshipped God, we learnt verses from the Bible and we got very good at shouting "Tally-ho!" to Roger the Frog.

Over the week, in our groups and altogether, we learnt a lot from the story of Jonah as we thought about these things:

God made us and he loves us. We are special to him.

Jesus died so that the bad things we do can be washed away and we can choose to live with him forever.

We are all part of God's plan, and we need to keep talking and listening to him to find out more about that.

God will help us to live his way. We need people to support and encourage us to do that - friends, family and church are important!

Under the Sea was an amazing week and God worked powerfully in the lives of the children and the leaders. Thank you SO much to our wonderful team of teenagers and adults who worked so hard to make it all happen.

Holiday Club 2012 will be Tuesday 10th - Friday 13th April. Get the date in your diary - more details in the new year!
