Saju and Katy Muthalaly

It is with great sadness that we announce that Saju and Katy Muthalaly will be leaving us during the summer. Saju has been appointed Associate Vicar at St Thomas’s Kendal, and their last Sunday with us will be 7th August. They have been a tremendous blessing to us over the past three years and will doubtless be a great blessing to Kendal in the years to come. Please do be praying for them as they make preparations for departure.

Anne Mansley

Anne has served wonderfully as Vicar’s Secretary for over 20 years, and has decided to retire on 7th June, though she and Ken will be remaining part of the church here.

Naomi Shrine

Naomi has served as student worker for the past two years and moved this week to Bradford to take up a post with Christians against Poverty.

Leaving Gifts

If you would like to help express our thankfulness as a church for their ministry by contributing to leaving gifts for Saju, Anne, or Naomi, please send your contributions to Dave Cumming in the church office; cheques payable to St Thomas's PCC and clearly marked as gifts.

Ian McGrath

After eight years as Youth Pastor here, Ian McGrath will be taking a well-deserved three month sabbatical, beginning on June 6th. Plans are now in place for the youth ministry during his sabbatical, and please do pray for God’s blessing on him and Julie during this special time.

We always welcome your photos of past events and other goings on at St Thomas's so feel free to send them to us but before you do please check that:

You own the photo and you don’t mind letting us have a copy to use on the web, flyers, notice sheets and other stuff.
Your picture doesn’t include somebody who doesn’t want to be on the website, flyers, notice sheets and other stuff. Please be careful if your picture includes children, particularly their faces or other identifiable features. If in doubt please ask the person concerned for permission or don’t send it. (You don’t need to ask Peter G, Saju M, Ian M, Sarah E, Dave C, Anne M or Martin W for their permission, we’ll ask them for you.)
You’ve told us what the picture is of. When was it? Where was it? What event?
You’ve told us your name; email addresses rarely match people’s names and we’d like to know who sent us that fabulous picture of Peter getting gunged… you do have that picture, right?
You’re going to send the best quality image you have; don’t compress it if you can avoid it.
